Manchester Recreation Field Renovation Update!
Friday September 25, 2009

Burr and Burton Academy, Manchester Recreation Department, Senecal Landscaping and this Foundation will spearhead efforts to upgrade the large baseball diamond at the Dana Thompson Recreation Park this Fall 2009. Upgrades to the playing surface infield dirt, sod and fencing will take place at the end of September, 2009. Phase II will begin in July, 2010. We were happy to play a role if bringing these parties together and to provide comparisons to other similar playing facilities, detailed upgrade costs and long range planning advice.

We will be raising supplemental funds to add momentum to this project for the following items:

+ Two new L-screens
+ New outdoor batting cage
+ Creation of bullpen mounds
+ Green mesh for the outfield fence

+ New dugouts: We have blueprints, an updated cost list and local carpenters who have volunteered to orchestrate the build. We are actively seeking donations for materials.

Please contact us if you'd like to participate please contact us for more details.
