Donations are tax deductible and all funds acquired go directly toward our projects. Current Projects and Updates: Summer Baseball Camp! Coming up on the week of 7/5/05 we'll be sponsoring our second baseball camp with Burr and Burton Academy. Visit the Burr and Burton Baseball Web Site for more details! Boosters Club Established: We have created a Boosters Club for our foundation. For more details on our goals and how you may be able to help, see our new Boosters page. Manchester Recreation Field Stage I Renovation: Fall, 2009 Burr and Burton Academy, Manchester Recreation Department, Senecal Landscaping and the 643DP Foundation will spearhead efforts to upgrade the large baseball diamond at the Dana Thompson Recreation Park this Fall 2009. Upgrades to the playing surface infield dirt, sod and fencing will take place at the end of September, 2009. Phase II will begin in July, 2010. We were happy to play a role if bringing these parties together and to provide comparisons to other similar playing facilities, detailed upgrade costs and long range planning advice. Phase II Upgrade: Funded by the Manchester Recreation Department: July and August, 2010 + Water: Well drilling donated by Frost Well Drilling. + Irrigation to the Large diamond: Hose coupler routed behind the pitchers mound. + Power routed to the storage shed on the right field line: Scoreboard, pitching machine and additional power. + Fencing repairs We are seeking donations for these additional renovations: + One new L-Screen + New outdoor batting cage and renovation of the batting cage area + Creation of bullpen mounds on both sides of the field + New dugouts: We have blueprints, an updated cost list and local carpenters who have volunteered to orchestrate the build. We are actively seeking donations for materials. + Renovate the backstop: Move the backstop in 12': Install astro turf mats and level plate for batting practice. + Create a concession stand / announcing booth behind the backstop. + Extend power down to the first base dugout and to the new concession / announcing area. + With the addition of power and announcing area, we will add a portable PA system: Music and announcements during games.
